Jamie Hicks-Furgang
Director of Admissions

Jamie came to Darrow in July 2007 from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY where she held a variety of roles in the Advancement Office for 6 years, helping to build school and community relations. Prior to that, she spent 3 years in New York City working for Business Week magazine as a Marketing Manager. Jamie was a scholar athlete at Saint Rose, where she earned her BA in Public Communications. She also received her MS in Education from Saint Rose in May ’07, and was given an award for outstanding performance. As Director of Admissions, Jamie is an excellent ambassador for the School and an involved member of our academic community. She enjoys all forms of exercise, as well as reading and spending time with her husband, Michael, daughter, Sidney, age two, and two Irish setters.
 
 
Maisie Sedgwick Deely
Senior Associate Director of Admissions

Boarding school roots run deep for Maisie, who grew up on the campuses where her father taught and served as head of school.
 
For secondary school, she attended Miss Porter’s and Miss Hall’s School, and went on to earn a B.A. in Art History from Sarah Lawrence College in 2002.  Before coming to Darrow Maisie served as Major Gift Officer and Director of Reunion Giving at Berkshire School and Director of Development at Berkshire South Regional Community Center. She has also worked in marketing and PR for local nonprofits, as a booking agent for a modeling agency, and as Arts Administrator at Jane Kahan Gallery in New York.
 
As a volunteer, Maisie is an active member of her school alumnae/i associations and in fundraising for several area arts organizations. 
 
Lorrie Wechter
Assistant Director of Admissions/Registrar

Lorrie is a native Berkshire county resident and attended local schools. Lorrie earned a Bachelor of Science from Westfield State College in 2001. She has worked at Darrow School for over nine years in the Admissions Office and also works closely to the Director of College Guidance.
 



Nathan Holst
Assistant Director of Admissions

Nathan came to Darrow from St. Thomas Choir School in New York City where he served as Athletic Director, Dorm Parent, and Admissions Assistant. Nathan is passionate about coaching Lacrosse and all aspects of Physical Education. A graduate of independent schools including St. Thomas, Nathan received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College in 2008.
