Be Part of Our Mission—
Give to Darrow School

Giving is an act of caring. Through the generosity of many alumni, parents, teachers, and friends, Darrow School has been able provide an academically challenging, college-preparatory education, an appreciation for the arts, an understanding of environmental stewardship, the unique experiences in
Hands-to-Work, and the skills our students will need for college and for life.

When you give to Darrow, you become a part of that mission.  Giving to Darrow can be done easily by donating to the Annual Fund, by funding capital projects, or by supporting Darrow through endowment.  These funds are separate yet equally important to Darrow School.

Annual Fund donations directly enhance the current school-year operations. Annual giving is the essential bridge between the tuition families provide to Darrow and the true cost of a Darrow education. The Annual Fund allows the School to offer the extras that enhance community life, like more library books or dinners for students cooked in faculty homes. It also allows the School to attract strong faculty by providing professional development opportunities, and it helps the School to develop programs such as Spring Term, the reintroduction of cross-country as a competitive sport, or Hands-to-Work projects, such as our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. The Annual Fund directly benefits the students and faculty in any given school year. The opportunities provided by the Annual Fund make Darrow Darrow!

Capital donations contribute to building Darrow's bright future. Based on the School's eight-decade legacy and the strategic plans developed by the Board of Trustees and the Head of School, capital donations ensure that Darrow will educate and positively change the lives of students well into the future. With capital donations, we steward our historic campus through maintenance, renovation, and occasional new construction. This provides the necessary improvements to our buildings and classrooms to create a positive learning environment and the ability to fulfill our mission.

Endowment funds are essential for the School to remain competitive well into the future. Endowment funds provide necessary resources to the faculty, campus, and programs so that Darrow can take its place among those schools considered great by virtue of delivering on their promises.  A strong endowment will allow us to do so in the future.  Endowment can also establish funds to provide financial aid to deserving students, allowing students from varied backgrounds the opportunity to come to Darrow.
