About Darrow School > Summer Events

A Gorgeous Setting

What do the School of Visual Arts, Tannery Pond Concerts, the Shaker Museum & Library, and Christchurch Choir all have in common? They call Darrow School their summer home! The campus is available for a variety of public and private functions. If you're planning a wedding, family reunion, youth sports camp, arts workshop, live performance, or business meeting or reception, why not take advantage of Darrow's inspiring landscape and unique facilities? To plan your special event, contact Community Outreach Coordinator Jane Feldman '74.

At Darrow - A distictive learning environment

Darrow School, founded in 1932 on the site of the original Shaker community, is a boarding and day school for grades 9-12 offering a comprehensive, hands-on, college-preparatory curriculum in a supportive environment. A 4-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio allows for a high level of individual attention, and an average class size of nine students affords all students the opportunity to actively participate in the learning process.

Students respond to Darrow's approach, as recognized by Emily, Class of 2009, who says, "Darrow has taught me more about myself than any other school I have ever gone to, and that alone proves that I have found what I am looking for."
