Get to know Darrow

We are so pleased you have an interest in Darrow School.
At Darrow, two things distinguish our curriculum and program and are demonstrated in everything we do.
First, we know our students. We know them in and out of the classroom. We know their strengths and their challenges, we support them, and we work with them to develop strategies for improvement. We know them by their walk and by their laughter. We care about each of them, and at Darrow, strong connections between students and teachers grow and flourish. Expectations are high, and our teachers push our students to do their best in classes, athletics, and co-curricular activities.
Second, we provide each and every student the means and the opportunities to learn in ways that suit his or her learning style. Since Darrow's beginnings in 1932, the School has been recognized as a pioneer in the field of "hands-on learning." Strong critical thinking skills are emphasized in all subject areas, with multiple assessment strategies so that all kinds of learners can demonstrate their accomplishments.
The best way to see what differentiates Darrow from other small, college-preparatory boarding and day schools is to visit our campus. Spend time with our students. Experience first-hand our supportive and encouraging environment that positions our students to become independent, life-long learners.
To schedule a campus visit please call the Admission Office at (518) 794-6006, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thank you for looking at our website, and we hope to see you on campus soon!
