PDS traveled to Darrow where the Ducks got to represent D's House in front of a nice crowd. The Ducks were explosive in the first half, going into halftime with a 12 point lead. Unfortunately, despite knowing the lead was not safe, the Ducks struggled to find their rhythm in the second half, ultimately falling to a game PDS team, 31-38.

Boys Basketball vs. Doane Stuart (away)

Darrow traveled down to Doane Stuart, hungry for the first win of our season. The game started out neck and neck, as Doane Stuart was able to pick apart our man coverage with a set of double screens that confused our gentlemen. After switching to a 2-3 zone, it was clear the Doane Stuart offense was designed for a man defense, and the Ducks began to score more consistently on offense. The end result, Darrow 52 - 34 over Doane Stuart.

Girls Basketball vs. Marvelwood (home)

Darrow Women's Basketball returned to action after a snow-induced hiatus, successfully defending D's House v league rival Marvelwood 49-34. Crystal and Tyler posted near identical lines of 22 points each, for both juniors a career high. Both players had two 3 pointers. Tyler had 15 rebounds and Crystal pulled down 10. Senior guard Jayme led the defensive attack, played a full 32 minutes, had 3 nice assists, 4 steals and added 3 points. Leah drew the tough defensive assignment of covering the opponent's best (and tallest!) player and did a good job. Meredith '19 played good D and grabbed a couple of steals, as well. Royanne '18 played her first significant minutes of the season after a long rehab and snagged 4 rebounds, had some good shot opportunities and earned a trip to the free throw line. Naomi '19 was a defensive stalwart off the bench for the short handed Ducks, who nonetheless were able to gut out the victory. DWB returns to action on Monday in D's House v the Doane Stuart ThunderChicks.
