Plays selected for Darrow on the Fringe 2017

Darrow Theater Workshop has begun selection for March 3-4 one-act plays

The Darrow Theater Workshop has selected eight plays from among 20 student-written submissions for the March 3-4, 2017, Darrow on the Fringe 2017 performance.

According to Director of Performing Arts Jennifer Pytleski, "Manuscripts for 20 plays were submitted for Darrow on the Fringe this year, from members of the Darrow Theater Workshop as well as from students outside the ensemble. I was thrilled, and it was a difficult selection process. After each cold staged reading, everyone filled out feedback forms for the playwright, so that edits could be written and heard if time permitted."

The plays that will be performed this year are:

  •  Below the Heavens by Peter '18

  • The Apartment by Christine '18

  • South of the Thames by Katherine '17

  • Title TBD by Maddie '18

  • White Christmas by Max '18

  • Tsundere Café by Maya '17

  • Digger & Branch by Markus '18

  • Holly and Spider: Together at Last by Katherine '17

According to Pytleski, casting and crew selection is now in process. The plays will be performed at two showings: Friday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m., in the Darrow School Theater.
