Darrow on the Fringe 2016
Darrow Theater Workshop presents Winter One-Act Plays
Please join us on Friday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 5, at 3:30 p.m. when the curtain rises on Darrow on the Fringe, the Darrow Theater Workshop's annual presentation of one-act plays. This year's playbill includes seven works ranging from drama to fantasy to comedy, that were written, directed, and produced entirely by Darrow students.
"This year’s Darrow on the Fringe has truly embraced what I consider to be the ultimate role of theater when working with teenagers," said Director of Performing Arts, Jennifer Pytleski. "That is, to give space to their ideas and an audience to witness them. The plays range from different kinds of relationship struggles, to lost identity, missed opportunities, strong political and social awareness, and finding yourself in a place you never thought you would be. It has been an absolute thrill to watch these students take on professional roles in order to produce high quality work that also stays true to the playwright's intentions. We look forward to sharing these brand new voices with our audience."
Both showings will be staged in the Darrow Theater in the Dairy Barn and are free and open to the public.
