The Darrow School Performing Arts Department’s mission centers around exploration. Here, we explore music, theater, and film as mediums to stimulate and challenge a student’s understanding of what it means to communicate, be part of a community, and grow as a young artist and learner.
Our Performing Arts curriculum supports the development of a student’s social conscience, as well. Through the study of performance examples in the professional world and their own written expression, students build skills while analyzing the Performing Arts (and their world) from multiple perspectives.
Each of our courses provides a safe and inspiring space - a space for our remarkable students to play, to dare, to make mistakes, and then to get back up and try it all over again.
