Darrow School names Head Girls Basketball Coach
New Lebanon, NY, April 12, 2024—Darrow School is thrilled to welcome Abigail (Abby) Streeter, who has had an impressive 16-year career in competitive basketball. For the last two years, she has played professionally for teams in Puerto Rico and Japan; before that, she had six years as a Division I player, finishing with a final season at Rutgers University in the Big Ten Conference, a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication. Now, she takes on the role of Head Coach for the Darrow Girls Prep Basketball team. She brings a coaching philosophy that nurtures a supportive and competitive environment and empowers players to realize their full potential.
Darrow's girls' basketball program is embarking on a momentous journey this year. We are stepping into the highly competitive NEPSAC AA conference for the first time, a move that underscores our team's growth and potential. This conference, renowned as one of the top high school leagues in the country, consistently propels players into Divisions I-III each year. We are thrilled to see our girls rise to this challenge and compete at this elite level.

Our basketball programs are deeply committed to the overall well-being of our student-athletes, providing them with comprehensive support on and off the court. They have year-round access to an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach who reside on campus, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. We are a community that values the unique contributions of each student-athlete, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
