Joline Art Center

Situated on the mountainside with stunning views of the Berkshires, floor-to-ceiling windows offer 360-degree views of the campus. The 10,000-square-foot building, designed specifically for the Visual Arts, includes drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking studios. In addition, there is a state-of-the-art woodworking shop, a dark room for photography, and a media lab for digital arts..

Becoming a professional artist entails more than developing talent and honing skills; it also means gaining practical experience and creative enrichment from showing work in a gallery setting. The Joline boasts several impressive gallery spaces where students can display their work throughout the year, often organized and curated by department chairs. For each exhibition, the art department hosts an opening reception where the exhibiting artists can interact with the public, family, and members of the Darrow community to celebrate their accomplishments!
