Kris Magargal
Director of Athletics
Education: New Haven, Bachelor of Science and Northeastern University, Master of Sports Leadership
Kris Magargal brings more than a decade of athletic leadership experience shaped by his work in NCAA compliance, event management, and financial operations. Before joining Darrow, he served with the MIT Athletic Department and a New England–based nonprofit, where he directed a Boston high school’s academic counseling program. Under his guidance, more than 500 student-athletes achieved notable gains in eligibility, participation, and graduation rates—proof of his belief that discipline and opportunity go hand in hand.
At Darrow, Magargal is focused on cultivating a culture where every student-athlete is seen, heard, and inspired to lead. His mission—to build trust, foster respect, and advance inclusion—drives a program where teamwork is measured not just in wins, but in the strength of community it builds.
Ray Pennucci P'25, '23
Associate Director of Athletics
Boys AAA Assistant Coach
Coach Pennucci is currently in his fifth season at Darrow. He has vast experience coaching at the highest levels of NEPSAC. Before joining the mountainside, Coach Pennucci spent 16 seasons at South Kent School, mentoring over 100 student-athletes on their path to college and beyond. When Coach Pennucci is not on the basketball court, he also serves as the Associate Athletic Director and Meacham House Parent. He is a proud father of five beautiful children - Tori, Trevor, Tyler '23, Elijah '25, and Maia.

The Strength and Conditioning Program is committed to providing the highest athletic preparation for our varsity student-athletes. Our primary goals are to minimize the risk of injury and maximize each student-athlete's potential.
The three primary goals for all sports are improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
Allison Pritchard, MS, ATC
Education: Seton Hall University, Master of Athletic Training (ATC), Binghamton University, Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology, Minor in Health & Wellness
Allison Pritchard brings a highly individualized and holistic approach to sports medicine at Darrow. With advanced training in athletic health and rehabilitation, she delivers comprehensive care that emphasizes prevention, precise assessment, and effective treatment. Her goal is simple but essential—to help every student-athlete recover fully, perform safely, and sustain long-term well-being.
Known for her professionalism and empathy, Pritchard ensures that each athlete’s recovery is not just a return to play, but a step toward greater confidence, strength, and success on and off the field.
Will Grega
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Will Grega is a physical performance professional who uses exercise prescription to improve athletic preparation for student-athletes through his strength and conditioning coaching. The primary focus is to minimize the risk of injury and maximize each student-athlete's potential. Grega's approach aims to achieve three primary goals for all sports: improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
