Kris Magargal

Director of Athletics
Education: New Haven, Bachelor of Science and Northeastern University, Master of Sports Leadership

Kris Magargal boasts a decade of experience in athletic administration. He holds a Master of Sports Leadership degree from Northeastern University. Throughout his tenure, he has gained valuable experience in NCAA compliance, event management, and financial operations while working with the MIT Athletic Department and a New England-based nonprofit, where he led a Boston area high school's academic counseling program. During his time in Boston Public Schools, the over 500 student-athletes under his council saw a dramatic increase in eligibility, participation, and graduation rates.


Magargal's mission is to strengthen and expand the culture of inclusion at Darrow by spearheading open and honest conversations, building trust, and fostering respect among all community members. He is committed to ensuring that student-athletes feel valued for their unique contributions to the school culture, inspiring them to reach their full potential. 


Ray Pennucci P'25, '23

Associate Director of Athletics, and Boys Power 5 Head Coach

Coach Pennucci is currently in his fifth season at Darrow. He has vast experience coaching at the highest levels of NEPSAC. Before joining the mountainside, Coach Pennucci spent 16 seasons at South Kent School, mentoring over 100 student-athletes on their path to college and beyond. When Coach Pennucci is not on the basketball court, he also serves as the Associate Athletic Director and Meacham House Parent. He is a proud father of five beautiful children - Tori, Trevor, Tyler '23, Elijah '25, and Maia.


Antonio Anderson

Boys Prep Head Coach, Admissions

Anderson played 110 games for the University of Memphis under Coach John Calipari. He was the only Memphis player to record over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists. Anderson graduated and played for NBA teams, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Strength and Conditioning Program is committed to providing the highest athletic preparation for our varsity student-athletes. Our primary goals are to minimize the risk of injury and maximize each student-athlete's potential.

The three primary goals for all sports are improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.

Allison Pritchard, MS, ATC

Education: Seton Hall University, Master of Athletic Training (ATC), Binghamton University, Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology, Minor in Health & Wellness

Allison Pritchard, MS, ATC offers student-athletes the most comprehensive and highest-quality individual sports medicine healthcare. She provides professional, efficient, and compassionate care to ensure a positive recovery experience that enhances the quality of life, promotes a safe return to full athletic participation, and leads to continued success in sports. Her approach includes prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation programs, forming a comprehensive strategy to improve our students' health and well-being.


Will Grega

Strength and Conditioning  Coach
Will Grega is a physical performance professional who uses exercise prescription to improve athletic preparation for student-athletes through his strength and conditioning coaching. The primary focus is to minimize the risk of injury and maximize each student-athlete's potential. Grega's approach aims to achieve three primary goals for all sports: improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
