Welcome Reception
Location: Heyniger Memorial Library
Kick off the weekend with small bites, time with old friends, and an evening in the newly renovated library, where the last light of the day moves through the windows and across the room.
From 7:00-7:30 PM, alumni author Dan Holt ’92 will give a reading from his novel, The Ghost of the Mountain Kings: A Shaker Novel, followed by a Q&A and book signing.
“Sixteen-year-old Jarek Dorrell did not believe in ghosts. Or killing people. But when a man of God, dead for more than a century, wrapped his hands around Jarek’s throat, he knew he had changed his mind.”
Part ghost story, part psychological thriller, the novel draws from our Shaker landscape and the uneasy tension between belief and memory. A fitting way to begin a Reunion weekend at Darrow.

Then we’ll break into groups for guided tours of the new campus.

Reunion Dinner + Dessert
Location: Center Campus
Enjoy a relaxed barbecue Dinner with good food, great company, and a view of campus in full summer bloom.

Sunset Hour
Location: Joline Arts Center
Stroll over to the Joline and raise a glass to a breathtaking Darrow sunset during this intimate gathering. Enjoy cocktails and heartfelt conversation as you reconnect with classmates in a warm and welcoming setting.

Bonfire After Dark (9:30-ish)
Location: Behind the Joline
A location familiar to anyone who mastered the art of being somewhere they probably weren’t supposed to be. Come enjoy a bonfire after dark, late-night s’mores, and Darrow ghost stories.
